The term “Fiscal Responsibility” is frequently used by lawmakers. But what does fiscal responsibility actually mean? What priorities should our government set for its citizens? And how does fiscal restraint and government spending impact our lives?
We’ll dive into those questions for our upcoming discussion based on The Policy Circle’s Fiscal Responsibility Brief and The Yankee Institute’s Connecticut focused policy brief, “Back on Track: Budget Reforms for the Long Run.”
Please come prepared by reading both of the briefs in advance of our meeting.

What’s a Policy Circle?
It’s a grassroots network of women who meet in neighborhood circles for conversation about the important policy issues (not social issues) facing our communities and nation. Believing that policies which limit government and encourage a thriving entrepreneurial economy create the best opportunities for all to pursue their dreams and improve their lives, we come together to learn more and strengthen our voices in policy conversations.

What should I expect?
You do not need to be a policy expert to participate! This is a safe place for you to share you opinion with other women who care about the policies impacting their communities. All levels of public policy knowledge are welcome.
The goal is that you leave energized by the notion that so many women seek to be more engaged in discussing public policy issues that impact our lives every day, and that you have opportunities to become more involved in public policy in our community.
