Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap (CLER) Application

The Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap (CLER) is a proprietary, experiential leadership program that takes participants from having general civic knowledge to becoming civic leaders. CLER is a program designed for impact-driven professionals dedicated to making change through civic action. 


“Real change happens in our communities when we understand what we believe, why we believe it and then we choose to do something about it. The Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap is the catalyst to begin that journey.”

Criteria for Participation

CLER applicants will need to have hosted or attended three Policy Circle Meetings or virtual experiences and donate at least $100. See CLER eligible programs here.

Successful applicants will have the following characteristics:

  • Civic-minded and committed to her community: wants to use her voice and her time to make meaningful change in her community, votes, volunteers and has the drive to lead.
  • Leadership capacity and experience: has demonstrated leadership experience in her career and/or other aspects of her life and is ready to take on more leadership capacity.
  • Growth mindset: seeks opportunities to expand her leadership skills and style as well as her purpose, and is creative in problem-solving and goal setting.
