For everyone involved with The Policy Circle it has been a fantastic way to take our interest in policy and move it to the next level of civic engagement in a meaningful way. We are confident that will be the case for other women who become Circle Leaders.
Here’s a general profile of a circle leader:
- We are finding that successful Circle Leaders do not necessarily need to be politically visible in the community. In fact, women who are under the radar can be very effective as they are very approachable by women who are just trying out the idea of civic engagement.
- Should be an advocate for free enterprise, smaller government and individual freedom as a means to lift all people.
- Be open to meeting a lot of new people – Nearly everyone in my Circle is new to me and came as referrals and friends of friends
- Be open to mentoring and helping start new Circles (we will help and mentor her as she starts hers)
