What do you do and what do your day-to-day activities look like?

I meet with people. I take people to coffee, go to luncheons and host classes on how to get involved with local politics. I engage with all kinds of people and want them to realize that liberty is a team sport and most of the changes in our country being with your local government.

What do you hope to gain as being part of The Policy Circle Community as a Connector?

I love to connect. The Policy Circle is a great place to connect with women and discuss policy that is right of center.  I want to help women hone their skills and understand the why of what they believe.

What does public policy leadership mean to you?

It means the ability to help others in understanding government and their role in government. Liberty is a team sport. Leadership is getting others to know their role and take part.

Can you think of an example where civic engagement led to a change in public policy?

Yes, everyday I talk to people who do not know that they can affect local government. My talking with people empowers them to use their own ideas and to know that they should get involved.

Describe a moment when you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone.

Every day I talk to people I do not know or who may disagree with me. It forces me to express myself in a loving and gentle way, yet getting my point across.  That can be uncomfortable and a challenge. It energizes me!
