I never miss reading Bret Stephens on Tuesday mornings. Yesterday’s Opinion page was about the need for Europe to be self accepting of what it is and stands for to survive. This is in reference to Merkel’s deal with Turkey that would effectively bring into Europe a country who’se leader is anti-Semitic leader and supports Hamas, it would bring into Europe’s border Syria, Iran, Iraq. The end of Europe is in sight if Europe doesn’t recognize what it stands for and its greatness (reminded me of our RoseFriedman Policy circle who took the time to discuss what is great about Illinois before delving into its disastrous situation
