Is anyone reporting on the money spent on PARCC Testing in Illinois?

Kate Thayer’s article “State to Ditch PARCC” appeared on the front page of the Chicago Tribune yesterday.  There was not one mention of the amount money spent by the state, the district, the individual schools on PARCC testing implementation during the last 3 years.  It was part of a $160 million contract with Pearson, and required $150million in technology upgrades (this was published in the Tribune 2016).

Do you think that it would be worth sending a letter to the editor ([email protected]) and to Kate Thayer ([email protected]) asking for a report on the cost of PARCC? (here are some tips on how to write to the editor — did you know that 75% of OpEd are written by men)

Here’s Kate Thayer’s article in the Chicago Tribune.
