Two New Briefs in The Policy Circle Library

As you’re planning upcoming circle meetings for 2018 and thinking about topics that will spark interesting roundtable discussions with your group, take a look at two new briefs in The Policy Circle’s library.

If your group is eager to jump into engagement and participate in your local electoral process, “Election Integrity: Your Role on Election Day” is a great guide to local elections and ballot integrity.  Did you know that election fraud occurs in every state? Find out how you can do your part to ensure election integrity in your state and community by volunteering in one of several important roles at the polls!  If you want to try your hand at serving as an election judge for your precinct, you can even request to serve with a friend or family member, for a more enjoyable experience.

If your group is following The Policy Circle’s “Year of Circle Conversations” curriculum and you’re in your second year, the new brief “U.S. Foreign Policy in the Asia Pacific Region” fits perfectly with the January/February theme, The U.S. and the World.  Especially topical given all of the recent news of rising tensions with North Korea, this brief addresses key U.S. alliances, threats, and the role of U.S. strategy, especially nuclear deterrence, in this important region.

The recently updated Immigration brief is another great read for circles focusing on the U.S. and the world.  Also, keep an eye out for an updated version of the “Foreign Policy: The Middle East” brief this month.

It’s a movement!

Start a Circle in your neighborhood. Add value in your community by giving women the facts and the space to strengthen their understanding of the issues.

Invest in The Policy Circle. Together let’s build a network of women who want to assume their civic duties and understand the impact of policy in their lives.

The Policy Circle is a 501(c)3 that provides a fact-based, nonpartisan framework that inspires women living in the same community to connect, learn about and discuss public policies that impact their lives.  Women across the nation are taking a leadership role in public policy dialogue on what human creativity can accomplish in a free market economy.
