Two Women’s Influence & Liberty Conference attendees meet again on Capitol Hill

In this video of a recent hearing by the Republican Policy Committee,  Indiana Congresswoman Susan Brooks directs questions to The Heritage Foundation’s leading fiscal and economic expert, Romina Boccia, about women in the 21st century economy, a topic worth exploring as women adapt to new challenges and opportunities in the changing workplace landscape.

What’s also fun to note is that both women participated in the inaugural Women’s Influence & Liberty Conference, co-hosted by The Center for the Study of Liberty and The Policy Circle, which Congresswoman Brooks mentions at the beginning of the video.   The conference was modeled after The Policy Circle’s Roundtable Discussions, in which women came together in small groups for policy discussions and for which Ms. Boccia served as a moderator.   In addition to Ms. Boccia and Congresswoman Brooks, also in attendance was Nina Easton, well-known columnist and editor of Fortune Magazine, Fox News contributor and senior associate the Center for screen-shot-2016-09-30-at-9-42-46-amStrategic International Studies (CSIS), who gave luncheon remarks about a variety of issues related to women in business, policy and her work with the  CSIS Smart Women, Smart Power initiative.  As more than 150 women attended the conference and 95% of participants indicated they would attend again, plans are underway for the next conference in 2017.
