OMB Director Mick Mulvaney will headline 3rd Annual Circle Leadership Summit

The Honorable Mick Mulvaney has the unique ability to bring policy to life, and you have the distinct opportunity to attend his keynote address during The Policy Circle Leadership Summit in September 2018!

Serving as Director of the Office of Management and Budget and Acting Director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, Mr. Mulvaney oversees the largest office within the Executive Office of the President and is focused on making sure the administration meets their policy, budget, management and regulatory objectives.

You won’t want to miss this straight talker who can discuss complex topics — such as financial cliffs and deep budget cuts alongside policies that foster small business growth — in a way that leads you to see them in your everyday life. The best part is you generally can’t help but chuckle at his highly relatable way of presenting the facts.

Factoid: Mick Mulvaney has triplets who were once featured in a White House press briefing.

Mr. Mulvaney was formerly a member of the House Committee on Small Business and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce. His policy work started with practical work, “[Mr. Mulvaney’s] experience as owner and operator of several small businesses has given him a deep understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs face in the 21st century.” (Chairman Sam Graves, R-MO, 2011)

In his role as OMB Director, Mulvaney recently announced a plan to streamline the structure and bureaucracy of the federal government.  He explains that a leaner, less regulatory federal government means a brighter future for small business. “When the administration fails to meet goals that help small businesses— it is our job to find out why and turn things around. Small businesses are our nation’s best job creators—responsible for creating seven out of every ten new jobs.  We must hold the agencies accountable to make sure small firms can compete,” Mulvaney remarked.

The September 6-7 Policy Circle Leadership Summit is just two months away!  Register here to pause, connect, learn and lead women into policy conversations that will empower people, particularly the disabled and those in disadvantaged communities, to find opportunity and be valued.
