About the Role

The Policy Circle is seeking a highly organized, creative, and innovative team member to boost engagement through social media, digital campaigns, branding, and innovative storytelling. The qualified candidate is highly skilled in using various platforms and is constantly seeking to identify and adopt new technologies and best practices to streamline and strengthen The Policy Circle’s communication efforts. An entrepreneurial mindset and meticulous attention to detail are essential. 

The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Education and Experiences. This is a full-time, fully remote position with excellent benefits offered after 90 days of employment including PPO, Simple IRA match and generous PTO. The entire staff at the Policy Circle works virtually. 

Responsibilities 

  • Create and design graphics and materials for print and digital collateral including reports, decks and proposals
  • Serve as project manager for all internal communication requests/projects (includes vendor, printer, and video production management)
  • Manage the team’s Communications Calendar (including email and social media/ad campaigns)
  • Manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), creating templates and unique designs for all platforms to boost engagement (content to be provided by Director of Education and Experiences)
  • Build email templates via Constant Contact & manage Campaigns
  • Serve as Pardot Administrator
  • Launch & manage vendors for SEO & advertising campaigns (eg. social media, digital advertising via Google Ads) 
  • Monitor website behavior using Google Analytics 
  • Ensure projects are completed with excellence, accuracy and on schedule (able to work on multiple projects at once and manage tight deadlines)
  • Ensure all print and digital assets are on brand and comply with brand guidelines
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Other responsibilities where needed

Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, creative management, social media management, digital marketing
  • Passion and strong understanding of for the mission of The Policy Circle
  • Ability to travel to approximately 2-3 team meetings each year
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
  • Familiarity with email templates using Constant Contact, MailChimp, Pardot & Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of either Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Canva
  • Experience managing social media accounts, tracking tags/mentions and running reports to track engagement 
  • Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing best practices and familiarity with various tools/platforms
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor’s degree or Certification in graphic arts, design, marketing, communications, or related field

About the Role

The Policy Circle is seeking a responsible, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial Development Associate. This role will be the hub of the development department and an integral component of our success in funding The Policy Circle’s mission.

Daily work will include interacting with potential donors, partner organizations, and team members as we strategize, conduct research, create pitch decks, and prepare to seize opportunities to fund the mission of The Policy Circle. This role has potential for growth and advancement within our growing organization and will provide ample opportunities to expand your fundraising skillset.

This role reports to the Executive Director and the Director of Strategic Partnerships. This is a full-time, fully remote position with excellent benefits offered after 90 days of employment including PPO, Simple IRA match and generous PTO. The entire staff at the Policy Circle works virtually. 

Responsibilities

  • Data Guru: serve as the development team lead on all things Salesforce, including processing & recording gifts, updating and enhancing donor records, building out donor dossiers, and owning donor data gift records and integrity
  • Research & Donor Intelligence: conduct research regarding potential donors, sponsors, and funders through various platforms (including WealthEngine), compile into dossiers, help prioritize prospects, and systematically capture information in CRM
  • Prepare Pitch Decks & Schedule Prospect Meetings
  • Foundation Tracking: Conduct research regarding foundation prospects, keep Grant Calendar up to date, and share tasks/deadlines with team/grant writers to ensure timely submissions and reports.  
  • Community Engagement: Seek to deliver exceptional service to all Policy Circle community stakeholders by understanding their needs and pain points to personalize each interaction to build active and enduring relationships
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and cultivate a strong knowledge of The Policy Circle mission, products, programs, and events; ability to connect the dots between various stakeholders and relevant programs to identify opportunities and suggest value-added solutions

Key Results/Metrics for Success

Assist the development team in meeting fundraising goals by:

  • Streamline and maximize Salesforce implementation and use to boost the effectiveness of fundraising and stewardship efforts
  • Ensure timely, thorough, and accurate interactions with prospective donors, foundations and other key partners
  • Manage development team tasks to strengthen the organization and enhance productivity
  • Help identify new opportunities for funding through strategic research and relationship-centered approach to development
  • Create and manage donor prospect and current donor reports and communications lists

Requirements & Preferred Proficiencies

  • 2-3 years of professional nonprofit experience is required (volunteer roles do not count)
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times per year for team meetings
  • Proficient with Salesforce (SF Certification a definite plus) with a willingness to engage in weekly training
  • Excellent research skills with knowledge of wealth screening tools (e.g. WealthEngine, Foundation Directory, etc.) 
  • Ability to synthesize research and identify areas of opportunity and alignment 
  • Proficiency with Canva preferable 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Skilled using G Suite applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Calendar) – and willingness to learn new technology required
  • Project management experience required, preferably with knowledge of project management tools such as Smartsheet, Basecamp, Slack, etc.

Position: Virtual Content Producer and Virtual Event Producer

Overview of Role:

The Policy Circle is seeking a virtual events producer and video editor to spearhead all virtual events production and video content. This will include the planning and production of virtual webinars (referred to as Move the Needle Virtual Experiences) and creation of video clips to be utilized on all social media channels. If you enjoy telling a digital story and creating compelling content in a face paced environment, this is the position for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the virtual events and webinar program for The Policy Circle; help execute all phases of planning and executing 6-8 high-quality virtual events a year (some live and some pre-recorded)
  • Create video clips & video content from existing footage and virtual webinar content to utilize on social media channels, emails
  • Develop compelling videos the tell a story about why women should care about our mission
  • Coordinate with webinar facilitator & panelists to schedule prep calls, manage panel questions, secure headshots/bios 
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project timelines and run of shows to support all video initiatives 
  • Conduct pre-event briefs, post-event reports, including but not limited to attendee surveys, analytics, and lessons learned 
  • Create custom, on-brand video assets (slides, graphics, banners) for webinars
  • Manage The Policy Circle’s YouTube channel by uploading relevant video content, managing video SEO
  • Track virtual event performance, including number of live attendees, view, and engagements
  • Work with Events and Marketing team to maintain a calendar of virtual events

Key Results/Metrics for Success:

  • Responsible for meeting virtual event goals – focus on increasing audience, views, audience engagement
  • Assist in meeting strategic goals through timely and high quality execution of virtual events and video production 
  • Creation of compelling videos that tell a story of why women should join The Policy Circle

Requirements & Preferred Proficiencies:

  • 2+ years of high-performance work experience, including proven experience with video editing, virtual event production, event planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 2+ years of successful compelling content creation, scripts, and production experience
  • Proven understanding of broadcast / streaming systems – preferred proficiency with StreamYard 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie and other video editing software 
  • Proven project management skills with knowledge of project management tools 
  • Experience with leveraging YouTube SEO, data analytics to improve marketing and engagement outcomes
  • Knowledge of and experience using design and creative software including the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or others

Position: Executive Assistant

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management & Scheduling – manage Executive Director’s contacts and document relationships within  Send follow-up and outreach emails, schedule appointments, and conduct follow-ups. Accurate CRM entry and overall data integrity are essential.
  • Management/Prioritization of Information Flow & Calendar – Manage Executive Director’s email, meeting requests, travel, and personal appointments to optimize the daily schedule.
  • Content Creation and Meeting Preparation – create and respond to emails and correspondence with excellence. Must be a strong writer with attention to detail.
  • Travel Planning & Expense management – plan all travel for Executive Director and submit expenses via Expensify.
  • Event & Meeting Planning – plan donor and partner meetings, small regional events, and Circle gatherings around the U.S., including sending invites, tracking RSVPs, securing venue/location, handling catering/AV, and other logistics. (Events Manager handles large-scale events).
  • Professionalism under pressure – including alignment with Executive Director goals, pace, and deadlines.
  • Collateral Management: manage TPC merchandise, including inventory management and mailing of materials to key stakeholders.
  • Product Knowledge – Develop and cultivate a strong knowledge of The Policy Circle’s mission, products, programs, and events. Ability to connect the dots between various stakeholders and relevant programs.
  • Professional Development – Engage in and attend regular team-building meetings. Seek out best practices and strive to strengthen your skill set through available resources provided by The Policy Circle and other relevant partners.

Hours & Status: 25 – 35 hours a week (Full-time or Contract Part-time available)

Full Time Salary Range: $4,500 – $5,500 per month based on experience (or hourly rate of $25-$35 for contract).  

If hired full-time, generous benefits package* worth $20k available after 90 days of full-time employment.
