The Policy Circle team and Circle Leaders and Members from Indiana, Kansas, Illinois and Texas attended the 2018 State Policy Network Annual Meeting, which took place in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Every year, free market organizations converge at a host city to bring together thought leaders and state groups working to put policy solutions in the hands of influencers. This year, The Policy Circle partnered with the State Policy Network to present Annual Meeting scholarships to the winners of the 2018 Policy Circle Leadership Award so they could push themselves out of their comfort zones, learn further about policy trends, connect with peers, mentors and supporters.

Here’s what these amazing circle leaders had to say:

“Seeing Mark Janus and our friends at Illinois Policy Institute accept the SPN “Biggest Win” Award reaffirmed my belief that one person’s courage can make a difference.

A lot of hard work in separate actions can move our country into a better direction.”

-Nancy M., Vernon Hills Area Policy Circle

“The caliber of speakers; quality of networking; and experience curated for attendees to be inspired by the host city is a model for peer conferences. The most exciting aspect for me as a Circle leader was the genuine interest in The Policy Circle as a median for effective content delivery and impact. ”

-Lacey W., Phoebe’s Fort Policy Circle

“I gained a significant amount of knowledge by attending the annual SPN conference. Not only has the Policy Circle helped me with networking, getting out of my comfort zone, communication, and learning policy as a whole, SPN  has showed me there are many more levels to learn with economic growth, development, health care, etc!”

-Tamara W., Phoebe’s Fort Policy Circle
